Incunabula Books exists to publish work that might otherwise remain unheard: literature, art and ideas that refuse to become mere products. Independent of the constraints imposed by mainstream publishing, we champion voices of originality, imagination and conviction.
As inherited narratives lose their authority and identity becomes increasingly uncertain, we seek work that confronts the contemporary condition with honesty, beauty and intellectual courage, and that dares to imagine what might come next in a post-postmodern world.
The authors reading and performing this evening are;
Jeremy Gluck
…is a musician, artist and writer. Incunabula has published his postmodern serial-killer fantasy ‘Necrotrivia v Skull’, and most recently the books ‘Artvo1d’ and ‘Unterzone’ – the first two parts of the ‘No-Production Trilogy. Jeremy lives in Swansea.
Tony Kearns
…is the author of the Dookie series of books and comics published by Incunabula.
Tony’s work is a savagely funny satire of the pretensions and insanity masquerading as modern life. His targets include politicians, corporations, influencers, in fact just about everything that passes in front of his sights is fair game. Tony lives in Skewen.
Rhys Hughes
…is the author of a staggering number of titles, of incredible diversity. He recently achieved his goal of writing a thousand short stories and has started on the next thousand. Incunabula has published his ‘Knick Knack Trilogy’ – ‘Trumpet Face’, ‘The Unfair Dinkum’ and ‘Oddity O’Clock’. The fourth book in the trilogy is in production even now. Rhys currently lives in Borth.
Felix Subway
…is a musician and artist. Incunabula has published his first collection of micro-fictions and illustrations, ‘My Eyes Taste Weird’. His work has been described as a cross between Spike Milligan and Clive Barker. He performs with his band regularly in and around Swansea where he lives.
Sue Fox
…is a photographer, author, qi-gong teacher and many other things. Her published works include ‘The Visceral Tear’, ‘The Exorcism of Susan Fox’, and most recently (by Incunabula) ‘The Scatological Sons’ and its sequel ‘Scat Boys no.2’. She has travelled from Manchester to be with us tonight.
