Trans Institute Thursday: A New Era at 210 High Street

Trans Institute is making a historic move! We are leaving Three Brass Monkeys and bringing our weekly community gathering home to Down By Here reclaiming a building with decades of rich queer history at 210 High Street (formerly Champers and Elysium).

Along with this move, we’re shifting our weekly meetup from Tuesdays to Trans Institute Thursdays.

This isn't nightlife - it’s everyday queer life. From 3:00 PM to 8:30 PM every Thursday, we are open for trans, non binary, gender diverse, and queer folk to connect, access support, meet friends, or simply hang out in a safe, relaxed environment.

As new queer ventures continue to return to the area, High Street is reclaiming its roots as the beating heart of Swansea’s queer community. This time with trans, non-binary, and gender diverse folk at the forefront of the movement.

Come down, grab a drink, settle in, and help us write the next chapter together. You’re home.
